UAP at PhilaU

City-wide, contingent faculty are joining United Academics of Philadelphia (UAP) and organizing schools to win strong collective bargaining contracts to improve the employment conditions of contingent faculty. It is our working conditions that are our students’ learning conditions. We are organizing at Philadelphia University to seek solutions to issues such as job security, fair pay, class sizes, class cancellations, benefits, and professional advancement. We’re building toward collective bargaining with UAP to represent the 77% of faculty at Philadelphia University who are adjuncts to ensure that the university’s priorities remain focused on educating their students. Many Philadelphia University adjunct faculty have already signed our mission statement and begun signing authorization cards to petition for a collective bargaining election. Are you ready to join us?
